Bosnia and Herzegovina Symbols
Bosnian Flag
The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina contains a wide medium blue vertical band on the fly side with a yellow right triangle (resembling the shape of the country) abutting the band and the top of the flag. The remainder of the flag is medium blue with seven full five-pointed white stars and two half stars top and bottom along the hypotenuse of the triangle. The three points of the triangle stand for the three constituent peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Coat of Arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Coat of Arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina follows the design of the national flag. The three pointed shield is used to symbolize the three major ethnic groups of Bosnia, and also resembles the shape of the country.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Anthem
The national anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina, officially called under this name, has no lyrics, and was chosen because it contained no references to any specific ethnic group. It was adopted in June 1999.
