Sarajevo International Guitar Festival 2019

Sarajevo International Guitar Festival is an event dedicated to nourishing music art in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since it has been established in 2011, it hosted over 40 concerts performed by eminent guitar musicians, while the educational component comprised participation of lecturers and pedagogues from over twenty countries in Europe and the world, whose workshops have been attended by over 700 young guitarists, teachers and professors.Since 2017, Sarajevo International Guitar Festival has become part of prestigious European platform EuroStrings Collaborative which, through 17 guitar festivals in Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom works on achieving excellence in the area of classic guitar and encouraging young guitarists’ artistic development.

 

This year’s edition will also host some of the most prominent guitar players, and entry to concerts to be held at several venues, are free of charge.
